WHO/WHAT: Every year, the Hawaii United Okinawa Association holds its “Autumn Dance Matsuri.” The indoor bon dance is the last dance of the obon season. Traditional Okinawan numbers are combined with time-honored and contemporary Japanese favorites for an evening of culture, food and fellowship.
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, Sept. 15, 5-9:30 p.m. at Hawaii Okinawa Center (94-587 Ukee St.).
COST: Admission is free, but food must be purchased.
